Benidorm Beach
According to the contractor, Benidorm Beach was the first skyscraper in Spain to be started during the Covid era. Its pool on the 26th floor, around 80 metres above the ground, is according to the developer the highest residential pool in Spain.

The story
Behind the project are Juan and Pedro Alcaraz, the founders of the car hire firm Goldcar, with their property company Alibuilding. They invested €41 million, including the plot. They laid the foundation stone in February 2020 – a few weeks before lockdown.
Sales went well nonetheless: by February 2022 two thirds of the apartments had been sold. During construction, the strength of the concrete was monitored with wireless sensors. In 2024 the tower won the award for best residential development in Europe at the International Property Awards.
Good to know
- Not to be confused with ‘Beni Beach’, a 110-metre tower from 1996.
- Two connected blocks with two cores and six lifts.
