No. 7 in the Top 20
Neguri Gane
Neguri Gane succeeded Torre Levante as Benidorm’s tallest building and was Spain’s tallest residential building until 2008. With its rounded concrete form, it looks like no other tower in the city.

The story
Neguri Gane was built from 1998 to 2001/02 on Avenida de Europa. Its form – rounded, set on a cylindrical base, in raw concrete – recalls Sáenz de Oiza’s Torres Blancas in Madrid. The name is Basque and alludes to Neguri, the villa district near Bilbao.
Only a copy of Spanish Wikipedia names José Ignacio de la Serna’s Grupo Arcentales as the developer; this has not been independently confirmed. Neguri Gane held the record as Benidorm’s tallest building for only a few months, until the Gran Hotel Bali opened in 2002.
