Residencial Islamar

Islamar 2 and 3 are two 104-metre residential towers on Vía Parque in Poniente, part of a complex of three buildings. The developer was the Prasa group from Córdoba, which handed its buyers the keys in May 2010.

The story

The complex consists of three towers: Islamar 1 with 19 floors and 54 apartments, plus the two tall twins Islamar 2 and 3 with 28 floors and 81 apartments each. Two- and three-bedroom apartments fill the standard floors; floors 27 and 28 hold penthouses. The addresses are Calle Presidente Adolfo Suárez 2 and 4. According to the city’s skyscraper brochure the design is by José Manuel Herreros; the façades are in white and yellow.

A developer from Andalusia

Behind Islamar stood Grupo Prasa from Córdoba, a family business that began in the 1960s in Torrecampo in Los Pedroches and at one time built across the whole of Spain and in several European countries. Prasa advertised Islamar with ‘peace and security’, Porcelanosa floors and turnkey furnished apartments. The keys were handed over on 30 May 2010, in the middle of the crisis that hit the company hard: in 2019 Prasa filed for insolvency.

Two pools, a golf course next door

Tower 1 has its own communal areas with pool, gardens, playground, padel and multi-sports court; towers 2 and 3 share a pool and solarium. The complex lies around 700 metres behind the Playa de Poniente, right next to the golf course. A three-bedroom apartment of 120 square metres with garage was offered in 2024 for €330,000.
