Sierra de Bernia
Sierra de Bernia 1 and 2 are two residential towers of 26 floors in the district around the courts, north of the Cibeles towers. According to SkyDB they were finished in 2004 and 2005.
The story
The two towers are 85.9 metres tall and have 26 floors each. In the list of tallest buildings in Benidorm they share 60th place. They stand north of Avenida de Europa, in the zone around the new court buildings, where several high-rises went up in the early 2000s. The database SkyDB dates Tower 1 to 2004 and Tower 2 to 2005; the Wikipedia list gives 2005 for both. They were probably finished one after the other.
The name
The Sierra de Bernia is the mountain range that bounds the horizon north of Benidorm: eleven kilometres long, up to 1,128 metres high, between Altea, Callosa d'en Sarrià, Benissa and Jalón. From the old fort at 803 metres you can see as far as the Benidorm coast on a clear day. That the towers are named after the mountain is the obvious conclusion; there is no source that says so expressly.
Who built and designed the towers is not documented. It is striking that Torre Capri, Torre San Remo and Sierra de Bernia carry exactly the same values in the list: 85.9 metres, 26 floors, 2005. Whether the same developer is behind them or merely the same estimating formula of the old Emporis database remains open.

- Same values as Torre Capri and Torre San Remo – coincidence, estimate or the same developer?
