Residencial Miranda
Residencial Miranda is a pair of identical residential towers on Avenida Costa Rica, two hundred metres from Poniente beach. Hardly anything is documented about how they came to be.
The story
The towers were completed in 2001. Each measures 82.6 metres and has 25 floors. The address is Avenida Costa Rica 2 in the Poniente district, in the street grid behind Vía Parque. The beach is 150 to 200 metres away; letting agents advertise ‘five minutes’ walk’. In photos in the Wikipedia list the two towers stand side by side as an identical pair.
What can be found comes from holiday-let portals: a seasonal outdoor pool with a children’s pool, a garden, free parking on the grounds, lifts. The apartments on offer are comparatively large, around three bedrooms and two bathrooms on 140 square metres with a terrace. That probably points to permanent and second homes rather than classic holiday apartments.
Who planned and built the towers could not be established. Neither the local press nor specialist databases such as CTBUH list the project. The building data go back to the old Emporis database, on which Spanish Wikipedia also relies.
